FDM4 Developer

About the role

The FDM4 Developer will design, develop, enhance, and support FDM4 ERP applications for a retail‑focused environment. Working closely with business analysts, functional teams, QA, and other technical groups, you will deliver scalable solutions across order management, inventory, warehouse, and e‑commerce processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enhancements and customizations within the FDM4 ERP platform.
• Develop and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL/4GL.
• Work with Progress OpenEdge RDBMS and SQL for data analysis and application development.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and create integrations via APIs, web services, and other mechanisms.
• Provide Level 2/3 production support, including root‑cause analysis, defect resolution, performance tuning, and system optimization.
• Write unit tests, support system/integration testing, and review code for junior developers.
• Participate in architecture, technical design discussions, Agile ceremonies, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployments, monitoring, and production releases.
• Lead ERP readiness for peak retail periods, such as holiday preparation and execution.

Required profile

• Knowledge of FDM4 ERP or similar retail ERP systems.
• Experience in server‑side programming with object‑oriented languages (e.g., Java, Python).
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving abilities.
