Family Assistant with Meal Prep Support

About the role

We are a family of four seeking a proactive, self‑directed professional to keep our home running smoothly. The role focuses on household organization, meal preparation, and occasional childcare support during busy work weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Family support: school pickups, light supervision, occasional date‑night or overnight assistance.
• Meal support: prepare ~4 ready‑to‑eat dinners weekly, batch‑cook breakfast items, grocery shop and follow allergy protocols.
• Laundry & linens: wash, fold and organize the boys’ clothing twice weekly, change sheets, maintain laundry area.
• Household organization: daily kitchen resets, tidying, manage seasonal clothing swaps, coordinate donations, replace batteries and bulbs.
• Inventory & errands: restock pantry and supplies, handle Amazon orders, run pharmacy trips, bring in mail and packages.
• Vendor & property oversight: be on‑site for contractors or cleaners, obtain quotes for home projects, assist with plant care.
• Administrative support: keep visibility on family calendar for meal planning and scheduling.
• Deep cleaning & special projects: occasional fridge, oven, baseboard cleaning, holiday décor setup, closet organization.

• Highly reliable and dependable, following through on commitments.
• Organized with a talent for creating and maintaining systems.
• Comfortable balancing household management with occasional childcare support.
• Warm, calm, and approachable with toddlers while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Detail‑oriented, especially regarding food preparation, kitchen safety and allergy protocols.
• Adaptable to changing schedules and able to work around demanding parent work hours.
