Family Assistant & Household Manager (Part‑time, Seattle)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Family Assistant and Household Manager to support a busy professional family in Seattle. The part‑time role (15–20 hours per week) combines household organization, light childcare, meal planning and transportation duties, helping the parents balance demanding careers and frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain household systems, organize closets, storage, pantry and indoor/outdoor spaces, and prepare rooms for bi‑weekly cleaning services.
• Provide light childcare for younger children, including school pickups, homework assistance, and occasional weekend supervision.
• Plan and prepare healthy family meals, manage grocery shopping and keep the kitchen tidy.
• Handle transportation needs such as carpooling, sports events, dog walks and support family travel logistics.
• Manage family calendars, schedule appointments, track healthcare visits and coordinate donation drop‑offs.
• Perform light cleaning, laundry, dishwasher loading and ensure the home stays orderly between professional cleaning visits.

Required profile

• Proactive, organized and able to anticipate needs without constant direction.
• Strong communicator who can coordinate with family members, vendors and other household help.
• Flexible, calm under pressure and comfortable adjusting to changing schedules.
• Self‑sufficient, capable of creating order in a chaotic environment.
• Experienced with children of various ages and comfortable with pet care.
• Reliable driver with a clean driving record and own transportation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Notion for task and project management.
• Experience using Skylight Calendar for family scheduling.
