Family Assistant / House Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Family Assistant/House Manager to support our busy household in Richmond, Texas. This part‑time position involves light childcare, meal preparation, and keeping our home organized while caring for our energetic dog.

Key responsibilities

• Provide light supervision and backup childcare during after‑school hours, including occasional extended evening or overnight support.
• Prepare two family dinners per week, handle snack prep, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Perform daily tidying, unload the dishwasher, and manage basic household upkeep.
• Handle laundry, put away folded items, and keep the laundry area organized.
• Restock pantry, run curbside pickup orders, process returns, and manage package deliveries.
• Coordinate seasonal deep cleans, organize storage areas, and oversee handyman repairs and cleaning contractors.

Required profile

• Take initiative without waiting for direction and consistently show up on time.
• Enjoy working with young children, navigating toddler emotions with patience.
• Feel comfortable around a large, energetic dog and be willing to assist with feeding or walking.
• Communicate openly, ask questions, and share ideas to improve household routines.
• Possess reliable personal transportation and be authorized to work in the United States.
