Fall 2027 Research Internship

About the role

AIER is offering a Fall 2027 research internship in Great Barrington, MA. Interns work closely with senior researchers on independent projects that culminate in a conference presentation or journal article, while also learning to communicate findings to a broader audience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute an original economic research project under mentorship.
• Participate in a rigorous reading and discussion curriculum covering public choice, monetary policy, and property rights.
• Attend workshops on academic writing, econometrics, Bloomberg terminal data analysis, blockchain and cryptocurrency trading.
• Present research progress and final results to AIER staff and visiting scholars.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate student (or recent graduate) interested in economic research, policy analysis, or academia.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to formulate research questions.
• Willingness to work onsite and engage in intensive seminars and workshops.
