Faculty Workforce Trainer (12-Month)

About the role

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is seeking a 12‑month, non‑tenure faculty member to serve as a Workforce Trainer. Reporting to the Director of Workforce Development, the trainer will design and deliver hands‑on training programs that support local industry needs.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners to identify training requirements.
• Develop, deliver, and assess training curricula in industrial machining, maintenance mechanics, and advanced manufacturing.
• Ensure all training activities comply with accepted safety practices.
• Provide flexible training sessions, including evenings and weekends, to meet employer schedules.
• Collaborate with the Workforce Training & Community Education department to align programs with community needs.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in industrial machining, maintenance mechanics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with industry leaders and students.
