Facilities Technical Project Manager (TPM)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Level 4 Facilities & Real Estate Technical Project Manager to lead mission‑critical infrastructure projects that support semiconductor R&D and advanced manufacturing. The role owns cleanroom retrofit/build projects and tool‑ready infrastructure, managing work from feasibility through commissioning in a live operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of facilities and real‑estate capital projects, from concept through design, construction, commissioning and closeout.
• Deliver tool‑ready infrastructure upgrades, including HVAC, process utilities, electrical distribution, controls/BMS integration and specialty gas systems.
• Manage cleanroom retrofit/build efforts, ensuring ISO classification, pressure regimes, airflow patterns and contamination control.
• Oversee construction administration: RFP development, contractor selection, RFIs, submittals, quality inspections, safety compliance and punch‑list closure.
• Own project financials and schedule, providing CAPEX forecasts, variance analysis and integrated Microsoft Project schedules.
• Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders across Facilities, EHS, IT, Engineering, Operations and Logistics.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of progressive facilities capital project management experience (10‑15 years preferred) in operational environments such as manufacturing, life sciences or advanced R&D.
• Proven delivery of MEP‑intensive projects, including cleanroom construction and process‑utility installations.
• Strong competency in CAPEX forecasting, cost tracking and variance reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder leadership in a matrixed organization.
