Facilities Specialist III

About the role

The Facilities Specialist III is a senior, hands‑on facilities role focused on commercial and industrial plumbing systems and overall facility maintenance for office, lab, cleanroom, and manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary and process waste systems, fixtures, pumps, valves, and related components.
• Perform facility‑wide maintenance activities, such as mechanical repairs, minor electrical/low‑voltage support, and building repairs within the scope of training and qualifications.
• Support cleanroom, laboratory, and manufacturing plumbing systems, ensuring water quality, pressure regulation, drainage, and system reliability.
• Use CMMS (e.g., Maximo) to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections, and asset history.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors performing plumbing and facility services, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and code requirements.
• Troubleshoot plumbing‑related alarms or issues that impact operations and environmental controls.

Required profile

• Active Massachusetts Plumber License (Journeyman or Master, commercial/industrial).
• 7–10 years of facilities maintenance experience with a strong plumbing focus.
• Proven technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working independently in an operational environment.

Required skills

• Massachusetts Plumber License (Journeyman or Master).
• CMMS platforms such as Maximo.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
