Facilities Management Intern

About the role

The Facilities Management Intern will support the Engineering & Property Services team at Johnson & Johnson's Kentucky Distribution Center, gaining hands‑on experience in facilities engineering, maintenance, capital projects, and compliance within a GxP‑regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining site master plans and facility improvement initiatives.
• Update building drawings, utility maps, and documentation using AutoCAD.
• Support capital project planning, execution, tracking, and vendor coordination.
• Participate in infrastructure assessments of HVAC, refrigeration, fire protection, electrical, and building systems.
• Document meeting minutes, track action items, and prepare project status presentations.
• Contribute to GxP documentation, change controls, preventive maintenance records, and sustainability projects.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau (preferred).
