Fabrication Technician / Warehouse Associate

About the role

Join McCarty Equipment, a SunSource company, as a Fabrication Technician and Warehouse Associate. You will work in a busy shop environment supporting gasket, hose, mechanical seal, cylinder repair, and conveyor belting departments while operating a variety of shop equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in gasket, hose, mechanical seal, and cylinder repair departments, using tools to measure, cut, and fabricate components.
• Perform inventory cycle counts, tag, stack, sort, and keep stock organized.
• Operate equipment such as soft‑gasket press, circle cutter, Allpax cutter, shears, paint guns, and punch press with dies.
• Support hose banding, crimping, rolling, cutting, and testing activities.
• Help with mechanical seal disassembly, cleaning, bead blasting, and packaging for shipment.
• Participate in shipping and receiving, pack items, build crates, and operate a forklift after certification.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year of industrial shop experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly.

Required skills

• Operation of soft‑gasket press, circle cutter, Allpax cutter, and shears.
• Use of paint guns and punch‑press machines with dies.
• Forklift operation (certified).
• Proficient use of a tape measure.
• Basic computer proficiency.
