Experienced Surgical Technologist – Jefferson Highway

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team on Jefferson Highway. The role ensures equipment and supplies are ready for endoscopy and surgical procedures, scrubs for surgeries, assists with endoscopy, and supports the RN as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain availability of equipment and supplies for endoscopy and surgical cases.
• Scrub and assist during surgical and endoscopic procedures.
• Organize activities and supplies based on the surgery schedule.
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the staff nurse.
• Communicate patient care information to patients, families, and team members.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or military program (online programs not accepted) OR 5 years of surgical technologist experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in a similar medical setting and certification in surgical technology.

Required skills

• Expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and related technologies.
• Basic analytical skills.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
