Experienced Heavy Industrial Welder

About the role

Collins Machine Works is looking for a skilled, safety‑focused welder to support production and maintenance welding. You will perform high‑quality welds, operate heat‑treatment furnaces, and help drive operational efficiency. Day and night shift opportunities are available.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑pass, all‑position fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
• Apply welding techniques such as submerged welding, oxygen‑acetylene, electric arc, electro‑slag, pulse MIG, and TIG.
• Operate, maintain, and monitor heat‑treatment furnaces on a daily basis.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and templates.
• Maintain compliance with company welding procedures, WPS processes, and safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of heavy industrial welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical instructions, and use precision measuring tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort with mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for basic documentation.
• Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, and commitment to safety.
