Expeditor - The Mann Center

About the role

The Mann Center is looking for an expeditor to act as the link between front-of-house and back-of-house, ensuring that food is cooked in the correct order, efficiently and served correctly to guests. The role also involves leading the food runners and coordinating accurate delivery of orders.

Key responsibilities

• Follow opening and closing procedures and food preparation assignments.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and ensure items are delivered accurately.
• Keep work areas safe, neat and sanitary, and keep the kitchen clean including shelves, walls, floors and drains.
• Handle and clean kitchen equipment carefully and safely.
• Adhere to company appearance and uniform standards.
• Work as a team player in preparation, service and delivery, and lead the food runners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant.
• Able to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds and to stand, sit and use hands to handle items.
