Events Coordinator II

About the role

The King Ranch Institute for Ranch Management seeks an Events Coordinator II to plan, market, and execute symposia, lectureships, and conferences that support the institute’s outreach and educational mission. Reporting to the institute’s leadership, you will act as the primary liaison with event clients and ensure high‑quality experiences for participants.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and market large‑scale events, handling space requests, contract negotiation, registrations, and service deliveries.
• Maintain the centralized events calendar, manage site safety and security, and oversee logistics such as catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and lodging.
• Provide on‑site client liaison before, during, and after events, and conduct post‑event reviews.
• Develop and implement event promotion across print, electronic, and social media platforms.
• Recommend policy and procedural improvements related to event planning and delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of event planning and marketing experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Preferred experience in higher education, nonprofit, or agricultural organizations.
• Ability to travel independently and lift equipment up to 40 lb.
