Event Day Hawker - The Pavilion at Star Lake

About the role

The Event Day Hawker works at The Pavilion at Star Lake, a venue operated by Legends, a hospitality and events agency serving professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention clients. On event day, the Hawker sells food and/or beverage through the concourse and in-stand, while also looking for ways to enhance the fan experience.

Key responsibilities

• Sell food and/or beverage assertively through the concourse and in-stand
• Walk around the venue and offer the highest level of customer service to internal and external guests
• Perform inventories and settle cash sales after the event
• Offer product knowledge and handle stock replenishment
• Maintain inventory control
• Keep a professional attitude and appearance, and maintain consistency in behaviour

Required profile

• Able to transfer high energy into sales and able to do math without a cash drawer
• Outgoing, effective interpersonal and oral communication skills, and a team player
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to work under pressure
• Physical ability to walk up and down stairs while carrying up to 20 lbs
• Follows safety policies and completes company-wide and job-specific safety training
