Escrow Assistant

About the role

The Escrow Assistant provides administrative and transactional support to Escrow Officers, ensuring accurate and timely coordination of real estate closings. This position handles file setup, document preparation, customer communication, and closing support in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and monitor escrow files, schedule closings, and coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, and agents.
• Prepare and compile loan documents, obtain signatures, and process earnest‑money transactions.
• Review contracts, lender instructions, and title commitments for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with funding, disbursement, and trust‑account balancing, including payoff checks and commission verification.
• Maintain electronic files in ResWare or similar systems and provide backup phone/front‑desk coverage.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• At least one year of escrow or closing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Windows‑based applications.
• Familiarity with escrow/title systems such as ResWare.
