Equity Capital Markets Analyst – Investment Banking

About the role

As an Analyst in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team, you will support the full transaction cycle, from preparing marketing materials to executing public capital raising deals. You will work alongside a global cohort of analysts and associates, gaining hands‑on experience and mentorship while contributing to J.P. Morgan’s capital‑raising capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute IPOs, follow‑on offerings, and other public capital‑raising transactions for issuer clients.
• Assist senior bankers with client pitches, RFPs, and preparation of marketing materials.
• Liaise with industry coverage, sales & trading, syndicate, equity research, and legal teams.
• Prepare thought pieces on equity capital markets and the technology sector.
• Conduct precedent transaction analysis and shareholder targeting.
• Draft presentation decks and internal committee memorandums for transaction launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an investment‑banking front‑office or a comparable role.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business‑writing abilities.
• Knowledge of capital markets and ECM execution processes.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior professionals, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment and manage multiple projects independently.
