Epilepsy Section Head – Lead Comprehensive Epilepsy Program

About the role

We are seeking a board‑certified neurologist with epilepsy fellowship training to lead our growing Comprehensive Epilepsy Program in New Orleans. The role combines clinical neurology, program leadership, and academic collaboration within a patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and expand the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, overseeing both adult and pediatric services.
• Provide high‑quality neurology care and manage epilepsy monitoring and surgical pathways.
• Engage in research activities and present findings at national and international meetings.

Required profile

• Board‑certified neurologist with fellowship training in epilepsy (BC/BE).
• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary program.
• Epilepsy surgery experience preferred, though not mandatory.

Required skills

• Epilepsy surgery techniques.
• Use of MRI‑guided laser ablation technology (Visualase®).
• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
