Epilepsy Physician – Neurology Specialist

About the role

Ochsner Health and the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute are seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible neurologists fellowship‑trained in epilepsy to join their Comprehensive Epilepsy Program in New Orleans. The position offers a collegial, patient‑focused environment with opportunities for leadership, research, and academic appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for adult and pediatric epilepsy patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management.
• Participate in epilepsy surgery programs and collaborate on research projects presented at national and international meetings.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible neurologist with fellowship training in epilepsy.
• Experience with epilepsy surgery is preferred; both newly trained and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Epilepsy surgery techniques.
• MRI‑guided laser ablation (Visualase®) for minimally invasive neurosurgery.
