About the role
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Epidemiologist to analyze public health issues, provide scientific advice, and support the design of effective prevention programs in Fort Collins, CO.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on policies, studies, or surveys.
- Provide scientific advice and technical assistance to public, private, and nonprofit health agencies.
- Participate in synthesizing social‑science and epidemiologic data to design prevention programs and practice guidelines.
- Assist in writing comprehensive statistical and analytic reports for major studies and ongoing projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or higher degree in a health‑related field.
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑09 level, or a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to apply epidemiological methods, evaluate program effectiveness, and prepare technical reports.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
