Environmental Specialist

About the role

The Environmental Specialist supports and coordinates safety, health and environmental compliance across Nestlé Health Science manufacturing sites. The role drives implementation of corporate standards, interprets regulations and promotes continuous improvement of SH&E systems.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as corporate contact and technical resource for safety, health and environmental compliance, guiding sites on reporting, permits and inspections.
• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and SH&E management systems across factories.
• Support integration of environmental risk with safety and health frameworks, maintain risk assessments and review operational changes for compliance.
• Develop and deliver SH&E training, building site capability to interpret regulations and close audit findings.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, external consultants and internal functions to ensure audit readiness and ESG reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in environmental compliance or SH&E within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 75 % of the time.

• Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA and DOT regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and audit processes.
• Ability to conduct environmental risk assessments and integrate them with safety and health frameworks.
• Proficiency in tracking environmental KPIs and preparing compliance reports.
• Effective communication and influence across sites without direct authority.
