Environmental Services Specialist – Part‑Time Evenings

About the role

The Environmental Services Specialist supports a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff at Kingman Healthcare. This part‑time evening position (3 pm‑8 pm weekdays, alternating weekends) focuses on cleaning, disinfection, waste handling and equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, clinical and public areas using approved products.
• Collect, remove and dispose of trash, medical waste and biohazard waste in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Operate and maintain EVS, laundry and floor‑care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor assigned areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, supply needs and report concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain adequate stock of clean linen and supplies, and ensure proper handling to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Complete required documentation, logs and cleaning records accurately and timely.
• Participate in department meetings, training sessions and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of customers.
• Read and write well enough to respond during emergencies and complete required documentation.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and manage multiple priorities positively.
• Use good judgment, seek guidance when needed and work safely around patients, chemicals and waste.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 20 lb (occasionally up to 50 lb) and operate cleaning equipment.
