About the role

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Environmental Health Scientist to serve as a senior scientific and technical authority. In this position you will provide expert geospatial science support and advanced data analysis for complex environmental health programs. Key responsibilities

• Provide expert geospatial science support and conduct advanced data analysis for environmental health initiatives.
• Lead and coordinate complex scientific investigations involving environmental contamination, exposure pathways, and public health impacts.
• Address workforce and operational challenges, ensuring staff resources are effectively aligned with program priorities.
• Establish strategic scientific and programmatic priorities and align activities, resources, and deliverables with emerging organizational needs.
• Guide cross‑functional teams to integrate scientific findings into public health policy and practice.
