Environmental Engineer I – US Virgin Islands

About the role

Support engineering, design, permitting, and remediation projects for public and private clients across the U.S. Virgin Islands. You will collect field samples, oversee drilling and well installation, run construction QA, and prepare the calculations and submittals behind our designs.

Key responsibilities

• Collect samples from hazardous and non‑hazardous sites, including soil, air, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas.
• Oversee drilling activities, including monitoring and well installation, well development, and sampling.
• Conduct construction quality assurance observations, ensuring compliance with construction documents.
• Complete quality control reviews on reports, design plans, design calculations, and data prior to submission.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Coordinate with CAD drafters for design plans/figures or use AutoCAD for basic design plans/figures.
• Prepare permit applications and regulatory agency submittals with supporting documentation.
• Prepare calculations for reports and in support of design documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
• 1–4 years of experience working in the environmental field.
• Experience in environmental consulting is preferred.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) designation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
