Entry Level Tax Preparer

About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking enthusiastic entry‑level tax preparers to join its seasonal team. You will work directly with clients to complete accurate federal and state tax returns, while receiving comprehensive training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients through the tax filing process and answer basic tax‑related questions.
• Prepare, review, and file accurate individual tax returns, including year‑end, multi‑year, and multi‑state forms.
• Submit electronic filings and provide printed copies for client signatures.
• Assist clients with IRS audit support and related documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all compliance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours during the tax season.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of tax forms and filing procedures.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
