Entry-Level Groundskeeper at Dexter Lake Union

About the role

Greystar is seeking an entry‑level Groundskeeper for its Dexter Lake Union community, a 201‑unit mid‑rise in Seattle’s Westlake neighborhood. The role supports the service team by maintaining the property’s exterior, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal for residents and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect common areas, remove litter, debris, and pet droppings throughout the day.
• Clear trash and items from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and transport waste to designated areas.
• Perform minor service requests, assist make‑ready specialists, and change locks according to policy.
• Maintain pool gate functionality and ensure compliance with safety codes.
• Distribute resident notices and communicate updates as needed.
• Report hazards, respond to resident inquiries, and handle complaints with professionalism.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents promptly.
• Operate a golf cart on the property with a valid driver’s license.

Required profile

• Previous groundskeeping or similar experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unaided and 25 lb regularly; capable of working in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
