Engineering Manager, Product

About the role

Candid Health is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its Product Engineering team. You will guide cross‑functional engineers in delivering the Candid platform that supports mission‑critical financial and operational workflows for healthcare providers. The role blends technical stewardship with people development and strategic product planning.

Key responsibilities

• Steer delivery outcomes by balancing team priorities, customer needs, and trade‑offs.
• Oversee implementation of technical vision, scope projects, and review plans to ensure high‑quality design and delivery.
• Lead one or more motivated engineering teams, establishing effective processes and collaborating with product and leadership.
• Mentor and grow engineers, defining career pathways and managing performance.
• Define and execute product technical strategy in partnership with company leadership, designing systems and architecture for short‑ and long‑term goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering leadership (technical lead, manager, or manager of managers).
• Proven track record of shipping high‑quality features and executing ambitious roadmaps.
• Strong technical decision‑making ability, understanding of durable and maintainable architecture.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex ideas clearly in both written and verbal form.
