Engineering Manager, Enterprise

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Enterprise pillar, responsible for making Claude ready for large‑scale deployment in Fortune 500 organizations. The role bridges product, platform infrastructure, and go‑to‑market, turning enterprise requirements into scalable technical solutions across Claude.ai, Claude Code, and the API.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers building features and foundations that make Claude enterprise‑ready at scale.
• Own engineering execution end‑to‑end: planning, prioritization, delivery quality, team health, and incident response.
• Partner with engineering teams across the company to ensure platforms are extensible and easy to adopt.
• Collaborate with sales and customer success on enterprise deals, translating requirements into engineering priorities.
• Shape the roadmap together with product and design, not just execute against it.
• Drive compliance and platform‑readiness work, partnering with security and legal.
• Recruit, onboard, and grow strong engineers; provide direct feedback and build a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager, preferably in enterprise SaaS, cloud services, or admin tools.
• Ability to execute quickly to meet demanding customer expectations.
• Detail‑oriented and quality‑focused, ensuring robust and reliable product performance.
• Comfortable working with enterprise customers and participating in sales and customer success conversations.
• Skilled at providing clear feedback, conducting strong 1:1s, and treating management as a craft.
