Engineering Manager – AI/ML (Remote, Contract-to-Hire)

About the role

Join the Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) to lead the creation of cloud‑native, AI‑powered solutions that automate and enhance business decision‑making. This remote, contract‑to‑hire position focuses on building production‑grade AI/ML platforms from data ingestion to model deployment and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and scale 2–4 engineering teams, fostering high performance and accountability.
• Stay hands‑on with code and architecture, guiding design decisions and managing technical debt.
• Provide technical leadership, unblock complex problems, and ensure delivery excellence across multiple workstreams.
• Own delivery planning, prioritization, risk identification, and dependency management.
• Uphold engineering best practices for development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Track and report engineering metrics, system performance, and maintain a strong InfoSec posture.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering complex, distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in modern full‑stack development (Angular, micro‑frontends, C#).
• Deep knowledge of React and Python, including deep‑learning libraries.
• Experience deploying and managing machine‑learning models on Azure, including training pipelines.
• Extensive background with Azure cloud‑native architectures.
• Expertise in Bicep, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Focus on logging, monitoring, observability, containerization, and orchestration.
