Engineering Leader – AI Automation Platform

About the role

Serval is an AI‑native automation platform that builds intelligent agents to replace manual, legacy processes. As an engineering leader you will shape the technical direction of the platform, build and scale the engineering team, and ensure high‑quality delivery of the product roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CTO and CEO to define engineering strategy, architecture direction, and execution plans.
• Lead, hire, and develop an exceptional engineering team, establishing structure, processes, and culture for scaling.
• Own delivery of the engineering roadmap, ensuring projects ship on time with high quality and clear accountability.
• Set and uphold best practices for code quality, testing, reliability, security, and incident response.
• Establish metrics and systems for engineering effectiveness, including planning, estimation, on‑call, retrospectives, and technical debt management.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with proven leadership of engineering teams.
• Strong technical foundation and architectural judgment, with hands‑on experience shipping production systems.
• Ability to translate product goals into clear technical plans and drive cross‑functional execution.
• Exceptional communication skills and a track record of leading through ambiguity.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
