Engineering Consultant II – Quality – Medical Device

About the role

This position supports a client’s Operational Excellence team to improve the Incoming Quality Control (IQC) function, aiming to optimize processes and increase capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current incoming sampling plans (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, Z1.9, ISO 2859, ISO 3951) and propose improvements.
• Analyze process flow and layout to identify capacity‑enhancing changes.
• Evaluate the impact of IQC changes on risk‑management procedures.
• Review inventory management in Oracle and suggest enhancements.
• Assist the client team with implementation of IQC improvement activities.
• Maintain a project tracker with weekly updates for management review.
• Transfer knowledge to the client during and after the project.
• Perform other agreed‑upon tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of sampling plans and applied statistics.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Proficiency in Minitab statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with electronic management documentation.
• Native Spanish speaker and fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
