Engagement Manager

About the role

The Engagement Manager serves as the primary trusted advisor for university departments, partnering with the University Information Services (UIS) to align technology initiatives with academic and administrative goals. This hybrid position works closely with faculty, staff, and executive leaders to ensure IT services deliver measurable value and enhance user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with designated university divisions, providing strategic IT guidance and recommendations.
• Lead the creation of departmental IT roadmaps that align with institutional objectives and prioritize user experience.
• Gather requirements, facilitate information sharing, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout project lifecycles.
• Communicate UIS policies, procedures, and updates, guiding stakeholders through security review processes.
• Advocate for the IT organization, ensure compliance with policies, and negotiate resolutions to complex issues.
• Identify and secure resources needed to meet technology demands across departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience in an information technology management environment.
• Proven ability to build and sustain executive-level relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering value.
• Experience working in higher‑education or large‑scale organizational settings is preferred.
