Engagement Manager – Healthcare & Life Sciences

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager to lead healthcare and life‑sciences projects for Kenway Consulting in Chicago. You will manage diverse stakeholders, drive strategic decisions and deliver end‑to‑end solutions across the HLS ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of client engagements, managing scope, budget, timeline, risks and quality while ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Lead complex business and technology initiatives across life‑sciences, provider, payer and health‑tech domains, applying deep industry knowledge.
• Build trusted, long‑term relationships with client stakeholders, identify new business opportunities and expand the account footprint.
• Coach and mentor project teams, lead working sessions, executive presentations and facilitate clear communication of complex topics.

Required profile

• 8+ years leading complex business or technology initiatives, preferably in healthcare or life‑sciences strategy consulting.
• Strong sense of accountability, tenacity and design‑thinking mindset to anticipate and resolve issues.
• Professional executive presence with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior leaders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Required skills

• Experience with industry platforms such as Veeva, Salesforce Health Cloud, Epic and Cerner.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GxP, HIPAA) and HLS value chains across R&D, clinical workflows, payer processes and digital health.
• Core consulting competencies: strategic planning, program governance, risk and stakeholder management, financial and resource allocation.
