Energy Business Lead

About the role

The Energy Business Lead will drive growth of the Energy team at E3M Solutions, overseeing turn‑key projects, energy assessments, commissioning and proactive energy management agreements. This player‑coach role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution and mentorship of team members.

Key responsibilities

• Own execution of the Energy Division’s strategy, operational plans and financial results.
• Lead and develop the Energy team, ensuring cross‑functional collaboration with Engineering, BIM and office operations.
• Manage turn‑key projects, including conceptual development meetings, proposal creation and client communication.
• Review and approve technical documents, energy models, savings calculations and air audit reports.
• Drive R&D on new technologies and maintain standards, tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Hands‑on problem‑solver with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• HVACR or engineering degree (preferred) and Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification (preferred).

Required skills

• Energy modeling and savings calculations.
• Site assessments, air audits and detailed reporting.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, lighting controls, DDC controls and VFD/VSDs.
• Experience with compressed air, process‑related and alternative energy systems.
