About the role

The Emergency Response Team Supply Chain Coordinator supports the International Rescue Committee’s Global Surge Team by ensuring that humanitarian supply chains operate efficiently during rapid deployments. This role is critical to delivering life‑saving assistance, early recovery, and stabilization support to people affected by crises worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement, inventory management, and distribution of relief items for emergency deployments.
• Maintain readiness to deploy within 72 hours and manage logistics for missions lasting up to three months.
• Work closely with field teams, partners, and local actors to align supply chain activities with operational needs.
• Monitor supply chain performance, ensure compliance with IRC policies, and generate timely reports.
• Identify and address capacity gaps, recommending improvements to enhance response speed and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian logistics or supply chain management.
• Willingness and ability to deploy on short notice to diverse and challenging environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across multicultural teams.
