Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will develop software that runs on or interacts with electronic devices for Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics. You will help shape new products and contribute to the future of mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cutting‑edge software using C++, C#, Java and/or Android.
• Define software architecture and design for new automotive diagnostic products.
• Participate in design and code reviews while following best‑practice development processes.
• Provide system‑wide problem solving, production support and troubleshooting.
• Support hardware board bring‑up, device‑driver development and automated build pipelines.
• Collaborate with multiple departments in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience delivering software to production environments.
• 3+ years of experience with C++, C# and/or Java.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing.
• Full‑stack development experience on Android and/or Linux platforms.

Required skills

• Application development for embedded Linux.
• Android/Linux Board Support Package and device‑driver experience.
• Experience with communication protocols such as CAN bus, TCP/IP, UDP, UART, SPI and I2C.
