Electronic Systems Technician II

About the role

The Electronic Systems Technician II implements, configures, and maintains advanced audiovisual and smart-technology solutions for residential and commercial projects. The role leads technical aspects of projects, manages smaller initiatives, and acts as a liaison between project sites and Project Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teams of two or more, coordinating communication, collaboration and delegation to maximise crew productivity.
• Perform precise cable management for audio, video, data, security and control equipment, including pulling, terminating, labeling and testing.
• Execute low-voltage wiring tasks such as running, fishing and terminating cables.
• Install displays, mounts, speakers, cameras and related equipment using in-wall, structure-mounted and ceiling-mounted methods while following safety protocols.
• Configure and program automation/control systems, security systems and network infrastructure.
• Assist in system commissioning, testing and client walk-through training.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across AV systems, data networks, security platforms and integrated control equipment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, drawings and blueprints.
• Physical ability to operate motor vehicles, construction tools and AV hand tools safely, stand or walk 70% of the time, lift up to 75 lb and work in varying temperature conditions.
