Electronic Systems Technician I

About the role

The Electronic Systems Technician I is responsible for installing and implementing audio‑visual and technology solutions for Denizen’s clients. The role demands strong attention to detail, high‑level customer service and the ability to work safely with low‑voltage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, label and test cables that interconnect audio, video, data, security and control equipment.
• Run, fish and terminate low‑voltage wiring for AV installations.
• Install displays, mounts, speakers, cameras and related equipment using in‑wall, structural and ceiling mounting methods.
• Assist in system commissioning, perform rigorous testing and conduct client walk‑through training.
• Maintain fleet vehicles, manage inventory and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of AV, data, security and control systems.
• Participate in on‑call service rotation as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and use construction tools (ladders, drills, saws, hammers) safely per OSHA regulations.
• Physical ability to stand/walk 70% of the time, lift up to 75 lb and work in temperature extremes.

Required skills

• Low‑voltage wiring installation.
• Cable pulling, termination and labeling.
• Audio‑visual system installation and basic troubleshooting.
• Use of AV hand tools such as wire strippers, cutters and low‑voltage meters.
