Electronic Security Systems Technician III

About the role

Parsons is seeking experienced Electronic Security Systems Technicians to provide on‑demand services, inventory tracking, project support and preventive maintenance for a wide range of security equipment at USMS facilities across the Southern United States.

Key responsibilities

• Perform non‑routine labor on physical access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, cabling, door hardware, power, security consoles, life‑safety devices, detention locks/controllers and turnstiles.
• Operate trucks, hand tools, light power tools and aerial lifts while maintaining accurate activity logs.
• Test, calibrate, repair and modify control and instrumentation systems under general supervision.
• Prepare field and office reports and independently manage service assignments.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass Tier 2/DOJ background checks.
• Minimum 3 years experience working on electronic security systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and willingness to travel up to three hours for service tickets.
• Ability to work at heights, lift 30 + lb, and operate in confined spaces and inclement weather.
• Availability for on‑call duty after hours, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and intercoms.
• Knowledge of low‑voltage electronics, cabling, door hardware, security consoles and detention lock controllers.
• Current manufacturer certifications (e.g., Commend Core Level, Radionix G Series, IQ Sight BVMS, Hirsch Velocity) – negotiable upon hiring.
