Electromechanical Technician (EMT 1)

About the role

Multi‑skilled technician responsible for executing preventive maintenance and basic repairs on production equipment under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and basic work orders on assigned equipment.
• Replace mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, gaskets, and sensors.
• Carry out basic electrical work on motors, switches, and contactors.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety processes.
• Assist higher‑level technicians with troubleshooting and equipment rebuilds.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience or trade‑school equivalent.
• Exposure to manufacturing equipment through internship, apprenticeship, or entry‑level role.
• Electrical Safety training (NFPA 70E awareness) and LOTO qualification.
• Basic electrical training covering voltage measurement and meter usage.
• Mechanical fundamentals training in power transmission and pneumatics.

• Preventive maintenance techniques.
• Mechanical component replacement (bearings, belts, chains, gaskets, sensors).
• Basic electrical work (motors, switches, contactors).
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
• Voltage measurement and use of electrical meters.
• Power transmission systems.
• Pneumatic system knowledge.
