Electrical Design and Test Engineer (P2)

About the role

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Design and Test Engineer supporting NASA on the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract. You will work in the Propulsion and Power Systems section, contributing to human spaceflight and deep‑space exploration programs.

Key responsibilities

• Support test electrical buildup, operations, and produce required documentation.
• Design and oversee installation of low‑voltage power distribution systems.
• Program PLCs or NI equipment, specify sensors, and develop calibration curves.
• Specify and initiate procurement of electrical and control system hardware.
• Review and track engineering deliverables for project status reporting.
• Resolve corrective actions and develop/maintain operating procedures for electrical and control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of electrical drawings and familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and good organizational abilities.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and ability to pass a government background investigation.

Required skills

• Low‑voltage power distribution design.
• PLC programming (Allen Bradley) and NI equipment integration.

• Proficiency with electrical drawings and NEC compliance.
