Elder Abuse Litigation Paralegal – Los Angeles

About the role

J&Y Law Firm is seeking an experienced Elder Abuse Litigation Paralegal to support its growing plaintiff practice in Los Angeles. You will work directly with attorneys handling complex elder‑abuse, medical negligence, and personal injury cases, from intake through trial.

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, including intake, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests, correspondence, and demand letters.
• Prepare and organize exhibit binders, trial materials, mediation briefs, and witness lists.
• Communicate with clients to obtain updates, documents, and case‑related information.
• Summarize medical records, discovery responses, deposition transcripts, and facility records.
• Coordinate experts, medical providers, and vendors.
• Manage trial subpoenas, exhibit logistics, and courtroom support.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in elder abuse, medical negligence, or personal injury.
• Strong calendaring abilities and exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor, reliability, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual Spanish is a strong plus.
