EEG Technician – Clinical Neurodiagnostic

About the role

The EEG Technician prepares and conducts routine electro‑neurodiagnostic procedures, including EEG, evoked potentials and specialized studies. The role involves collecting accurate data for test interpretation and supporting medical staff with complex recordings in a clinical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient history, neurological symptoms, and medication information.
• Perform EEG, evoked potentials and other END studies, ensuring proper electrode placement and data quality.
• Identify and mitigate patient or environmental artifacts during recordings.
• Maintain patient safety, respond to emergencies, and follow infection‑control protocols.
• Document procedures, retrieve and enter data using specialized software and Windows‑based applications.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma; associate’s degree or accredited END program preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in neurodiagnostic testing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; eligibility for Neurodiagnostic Technology certification preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system and role‑specific software packages.
• Strong computer and data‑entry skills for accurate record keeping.
• Ability to operate EEG and evoked‑potential equipment.
