Educational Specialist II – Early College Program Lead

About the role

The Educational Specialist II provides leadership for the Early College program within the Academic Advancement Section, ensuring program quality, compliance, and alignment with state guidelines. This role collaborates with multiple agencies and supports dual credit initiatives across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Provides leadership in planning, development, and monitoring of the Early College program.
• Evaluates program implementation and recommends improvements to ensure compliance with standards and state guidelines.
• Maintains administrative and fiscal oversight, including managing state funding and expenditures.
• Collaborates with university campuses, state agencies, and community organizations on dual credit initiatives.
• Prepares program plans, budgets, memoranda of agreement, legislative testimonies, and other required documents.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in education or a related field (or equivalent substitution).
• Six years of professional experience in education, including four years of teaching and two years of curriculum or program planning.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, instructional media, educational statistics, and relevant laws and regulations.

What we offer

• Salary range EOSR-7: $114,820 to $162,535 per year.
• 12‑month appointment with vacation and sick leave per regulations.
