Economic Support Consultant Supervisor – Revenue Maximization

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) is hiring an Economic Support Consultant Supervisor for the Revenue Maximization (Rev Max) unit. The position supports DFCS Regions 4, 6, and 8 and is housed at Muscogee County DFCS.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and monitor a Rev Max team of 1 Program Assistant and 7 Specialists, ensuring work accuracy and timeliness.
• Review IV‑E funding determinations, process cases in SHINES and Gateway systems, and prepare records for state and federal audits.
• Provide over‑the‑shoulder support on Medicaid and title IV‑E eligibility, conduct case action reviews, and generate regular reports.
• Track team performance through system reports and maintain a unit accuracy rating of 98% and a promptness rating of 96%.

Required profile

• Associate degree plus four years of related experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or lead role, or one year at the lower‑level Economic Support Consultant level.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and two years of eligibility‑determination experience in a government or social‑services program.
• Supervisory experience in child welfare, foster care, or related social‑service programs is highly valued.
• Knowledge of the title IV‑E program is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IV‑E funding determination processes.
• Experience using the SHINES system.

• Medicaid eligibility determination expertise.
