Early‑Career NPI Technical Instructor

About the role

This position is designed for new college graduates or early‑career engineers who enjoy hands‑on technical work and teaching others. As an NPI Technical Instructor you will learn cutting‑edge semiconductor equipment and help develop and deliver training on new products as they enter production.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and support new semiconductor equipment during New Product Introduction and product lifecycle phases while embedded with the Santa Clara business unit.
• Assist in creating and updating training materials such as presentations, student guides, lab exercises, and documentation.
• Deliver classroom and hands‑on technical training, including structured factory on‑the‑job training, under guidance from senior instructors.
• Maintain safe, functional lab equipment aligned to course objectives and safety standards.
• Participate in multiple concurrent NPI projects, tracking progress, updates, and training deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics or a related technical field.
• 0–3 years of experience (including internships, co‑ops, or lab work) with technical systems or manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical, software, vacuum and process subsystems of semiconductor tools.
• Experience with PLC‑controlled equipment, robotics, automation, pneumatics and power distribution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
