Dual-Site Maintenance Technician - Los Angeles

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Dual‑Site Maintenance Technician to support its Los Angeles property. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting.
• Availability for on‑call schedule, Thursday‑Monday, 9 am‑6 pm, with flexibility based on business needs.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, work independently and collaborate with vendors.
