Driller – Hydraulic Elevator Drilling

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Driller to join Chesapeake Drilling Corporate’s hydraulic elevator drilling team. The position involves operating heavy equipment, leading crews, and delivering precise drilling work in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain drilling rigs, hammer drills, rotary tables, and slush pumps safely and efficiently.
• Drill elevator jack holes and large‑diameter well holes (20"‑30") with exact measurements and proper casing installation.
• Monitor hole depth and drilling conditions, adjusting parameters as needed.
• Maintain accurate drilling records and communicate updates to the Drilling Manager.
• Supervise drilling helpers and crew members on job sites.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or hole instability.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of road driving experience with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a CDL Class A license and DOT Medical Examination Card.
• Experience with large‑diameter outside construction drilling or elevator jack‑hole drilling.
• Familiarity with large down‑hole air hammers and solid‑stem auger rigs.
