Donor Scholarships and Funds Manager

About the role

The Donor Scholarships and Funds Manager supports the Vice President for Philanthropy & Engagement at Texas A&M University‑Commerce. This staff position oversees the full life‑cycle of restricted scholarship and donor funds, ensuring accurate tracking, stewardship, and compliance with university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain restricted‑fund tracking using Raiser’s Edge and related document‑management systems.
• Process gift agreements, donor correspondence, and related documentation for new and existing scholarships.
• Coordinate with development, finance, and alumni teams to facilitate cultivation, solicitation, and recognition of benefactors.
• Generate reports and analytics on fund performance and donor engagement.
• Ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations governing restricted assets.

Required profile

• Experience managing restricted or scholarship funds in a higher‑education or nonprofit setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential donor information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple university departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge (or similar fundraising CRM).
• Document‑management and record‑keeping expertise.
• Knowledge of gift agreement processing and fund accounting principles.
