District Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

Insomnia Cookies is looking for a District Manager to oversee 9‑10 city and campus‑adjacent stores in the New Jersey market. You will be responsible for driving top‑line sales, hiring and retaining talent, delivering exceptional customer service, and shaping strategic plans that align with the brand’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional support strategies to meet each store’s financial, operational, and customer‑service goals.
• Provide expertise on customer‑service challenges, staffing, store operations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with the Director of Workforce Planning and Store Operations Managers to manage labor effectively.
• Analyze performance data, identify opportunities, and implement innovative solutions tailored to each store’s strengths.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a multi‑unit regional manager in food & beverage, restaurant, hospitality, or retail.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a customer‑service‑focused role.
• Proven ability to recruit, hire, and coach a diverse part‑time hourly team.
• Strong knowledge of business functions such as supply chain, P&L analysis, compliance, and human resources.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with baking or commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.
